Yellow Ribbon Recipes cookbook are now on sale
for $10* with all proceeds going to the MFRC Build-A-Bear Fund.
The Build-A-Bear Fund allows the MFRC to provide a $15 gift certificate to the children of deploying soldiers. The child and their parent are then able to take that gift certificate to the Build-A-Bear at West Edmonton Mall and use it towards creating an animal together and the parent can record a special message for their child to hear their voice whenever they need the comfort.
The Yellow Ribbon Recipes cookbook is a fundraising initiative started by a military spouse with children that received a Build-A-Bear gift certificate when their father was being deployed. It was such an important and wonderful experience for her family, that she wanted to create the cookbook to raise money specifically for the Build-A-Bear Fund to ensure all children of deployed military members could receive a gift certificate.
Working with staff from the MFRC, the cookbook was created with delicious recipes submitted by spouses from across Canada of Task Force 108 with creative drawings submitted by their little ones.
